Fuji Lawsuit Filed by F1 Fans

More than one hundred F1 fans have launched legal action against the Fuji Speedway. The lawsuit is being brought by spectators who attended the 2007 Japanese Grand Prix and the plaintiffs are looking for around 32 million yen ($300,000) in damages.

The 109 plaintiffs claim that Japanese Grand Prix organisers did not provide adequate toilet, convenience and other spectator facilities for the race. The law suit also alleges that due to transport problems at the venue, some fans were left stranded outside of the circuit in pouring rain.

Some have also complained that the grandstand seats were poorly planned with many featuring obstructed views.
