Fry: Neither Button or Barrichello guaranteed 2009 drive

Honda boss Nick Fry has warned that neither of the team s current drivers has been guaranteed a race-seat next season.

Both Honda drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello have contracts that expire at the end of this season. Fry believes that having attracted people like Ross Brawn to the team, Honda are an attractive outfit to other drivers and are starting to attract other drivers to the team.

“We are open minded at the moment and our drivers are aware of that,” Fry explained in an interview with GPWeek. “Obviously when you have a Team Principal and technical guru like Ross in the team, we become possibly even more attractive than we were before and the change in regulations for next year gives teams like us a big opportunity.

“Hopefully we can take advantage of that at the moment, we are not short of offers.”
