It's my day off so I decided to try a new recipe/marinate for chicken breast and man oh man it is a fantastic 'jerk chicken' recipe, sweet because of the cinammon but then it has a mild afterkick due to the cayenne pepper. I also grilled a backstrap from an Axis deer gently rubbed with a sweet tasting rub.
My official taste tester Max was begging for more and if he like's it you know it's worthy.
I spent eighteen hours making a five tiered cake about two days ago.
Instead of icing,I use chocolate mousse and wild berries.
To make the consistency of the mix just right, instead of using milk,
I whip some milk and thickened cream together, and add it to the mix.
The yolk and white of the egg need to be separated and whipped as well, before adding them together.
And instead of powdered cocoa, I used cocoa beans, which made it lovely (:
It was absolutely gorgeous, if I do say so myself (:
It was for a charity fundraiser, so I only got a piece or two of the left overs, hahah.
