Red bull Racing are the latest Formula 1 team to fall foul of the long-running saga of flexible bodywork. In Barcelona, the team ran with on-board cameras. The footage gained from these cameras showed that the two main elements of the rear wing which was fitted to David Coulthard’s car was moving at both low and high speeds.
Flexing bodywork is illegal in Formula 1, however FIA scrutineers normally only get to do static checks. The Red Bull cars passed both the Thursday checks as well as the post-race scrutineering tests in Spain. It is unclear as to what action will be taken against Red Bull, if any.
