Abu Dhabi are hoping to change the date of the 2010 race so that they once again hold the season finale.
The race is scheduled to take place on 31 October 2010, with the final race of the season taking place on 14 November in Brazil. However Abu Dhabi are hoping to change these positions and therefore hold the final race of the 2010 season.
According to Autosport, Yas Marina’s CEO Richard Cregan has said that the final meeting is later this week where it will be confirmed whether the dates for the races have been changed or not.
“Fingers crossed we will get the last race but I don’t know what the situation will be,” he told Autosport.
“I think that either way we are going to be happy. We want to make sure that we do the grand prix equally as good as we did this year, and we have a lot of work to do to make sure that happens. That will be our focus.
“If we are the last race then fantastic, if not it will still be fantastic.”
