Martin Whitmarsh has been named as the chairman of the Formula One Teams’ Association (FOTA).
The McLaren team principal is understood to have been voted in as chairman of FOTA, succeeding Ferrari’s Luca di Montezemolo whose term ends later this month.
It is also rumoured that Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s team principal, has been made chairman of the Sporting Working Group at FOTA, whilst Ross Brawn remains in his position at the Technical Working Group.
