I get why Ferrari is doing it... and taking all of it's Ferrari powered offspring with them. But can someone explain to me why Red Bull are doing it?...

I think they'd grown weary of all the insinuations they were in violation of RRA. If/when the rumours began affecting their ability to operate, the simplest, surest remedy would have been to leave FOTA.

Doesn't seem as if they're having a hard time operating within the confines though. I mean, why change the rules if they're working for you or I should say if you've made them work for you. I don't quite buy that explanation, there's got to be more going on.

OK. I'll spell it out Yes its the teams association, Id got that bit. But I dont see mechanics, engineers, drivers, chassis, engines, physiotherapists, removal men, caterers, PR people, tyres,etc, etc, etc sitting round the table during meetings. The person doing that, who will be left with no-one to talk to if teams continue to leave, will be the person who heads the FOTA group...and it happens to be Whitmarsh.
