Almost incongruous, considering F1's 800-lb gorilla (Ferrari) only advertises via racing Grands Prix, and the USA is their single largest market. Then again, while Il Commendatore was alive, the Scuderia had occasion to give amiss the race at Watkins Glen because it was late in the season and they already had clinched the WDC and WCC.
Formula 1 needs the USA, simple. The market is so important to the manufacturers, and major sponsors in the sport....
