A poor man's Road America. Not just in name either...
Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??

It just wont sound right when a driver does an interview and says: "The cicuit of the americas is a great track, really love sector 2 here, i think it will suit our car well".
Just doesnt work if you ask me
Yet that would have been percieved as more 'arrogant'
It sounds pretty bad and I agree that a name like that is rather pompous and also suggests this track has stood for 50 years or so. I hope the drivers/teams don't abbreviate it to COTA either that just sounds too corporate.
You will enjoy F1 more when you rid yourself of all the trivialyou percieve as relevant and just concentrate on the racing.
The name should reflect somthing about Texas and where the track is. Not unity. It should be named after Sam Houston, Steven F. Austin, or one many other great Texans. The name should reflex where the track is. The Track of the Americas does not do that. It sounds like it is the only track in the whole American Continent(North and South) that can host a F1 race. And we all know it is not.

Yeah, something like Texas Longhorn Circuit:
Look at those balls of steel!
