I wonder what advantage their new F duct will bring back, if any. Seems like perfect timing for it with the Korea and Abu Dhabi straights ahead.

even with the "old" f duct it looked good, btw theres 1 huge straight and a smaller one in brazil

Just found this little bit of info regarding Red Bull's qualifying pace, not really sure where to post it but it's fairly relevant to this thread:

Q. (Frederic Ferret - L'Equipe): The Red Bulls seem quickest in qualifying, so for the two Red Bull drivers can you explain why it is so fast and do you think you will have the pole on Saturday? For the three others, do you think you can beat them and do you have a special thing to beat them on Saturday?

MW: Well, obviously Seb has had a good run in qualifying. He has had a few pole positions and I have had some poles as well. As you say the car is pretty quick on Saturday afternoon. We have adjustable front ride height suspension which has been running since the start of the year and that works well and then we put the car back up for Sunday. Lots of things have been good for us and we try to do the same job on Saturday.

SV: As Mark said we have this big lever for the ride height. I think that is the secret for Saturday.

I was completely unaware that this was actually on the car, i thought it was just speculation and that such systems are illegal...

They must have been joking.
Because... they are not really going to say what makes their car faster than the others, so why even ask.

It was a sarcastic comment by both of them to take the piss out of Whitmarsh :P

Anyway, Last year at Brazil didn't Lewis go from 18th to 3rd... after switching to 1 stop stratagy after the crashs on first lap Naka, Sutil, Kovi... & however mark wrapped it up pretty easy even tho button was flying up his bottom in the final few laps because webber had litterally no rear wheels lol.

As for Yas Marina... didn't lewis get pole like 0.6xx faster than both the red bulls, followed by both the brawns (we all know Kovi was crap even tho he was going to set really fast qualli but had gearbox issue)
Only reason lewis lost that race was beause of his breaks, which they noticed an issue after a few laps & was noticiable because he wasn't pulling away from vettel & then after the first pits they noticed it was pretty bad & he got leapfrogged in the pit stops & then had to retire...

So between Red Bull & McLaren for these last two races you can't call... especially after their perfomance in Practice 1 today.... Lewis hadn't set a time even tho all the other drivers apart from a lotus had set 6-7 timed laps, he then set his first timed lap in 16th or so, then his second timed lap was 2nd fastest behind button & then like 3 timed laps later he smashed the times... however we are still going to see another 2-3 seconds knocked of the times because they are no where near up to speed...
