Sorry, but that's a very poor rebuttal. If you believe that....;
1992 - Brundle (although aside from a couple of unlucky incidents and mechanical failures in the first 4 races Brundle actually outscored Schumacher over the 12 subsequent races - Briatore didn't like that Brundle could match Schumi and so promptly dropped him!)
1993 - Patrese
1994 - Lehtto / Verstappen / Herbert
1995 - Herbert
1996-99 - Irvine
....were chosen on their ability to match Schumacher then you're sadly mistaken. Only an imbecile would try to argue that they were chosen as anything other than dependable number 2 drivers... In fact the drivers above were pretty much the perfect example of a solid back-up team-mate!!

I am sure Coulthard and Kovalainen were signed to match Hakkinen's and Hamilton's ability.
Stop being childish and trying to turn this into yet another slanging match between McLaren and Ferrari fanboys. What you're saying may or may not be true, but has nothing whatsoever to do with the thread, the thread is about Schumacher and Alonso. If you look at other threads I have said that I have no problem with teams adopting a lead / second driver strategy, I do however have a problem with people denying reality...
Me.
No. Hamilton would destroy you.

Dude I can roundhouse kick the car around the circuit faster than he can drive it around. I'm trained by Chuck Norris.
