Well he wouldnt be doing it if he was in a McLaren would he!!

What, making absolutely no mistakes at all unlike their current pair?:wink:

Dont think that was Jens last year somehow :hehe: No I meant doing crap against your team mate , making loads of errors and generally not being able to drag the car up the grid.

Except for the teammate bit (which can't really apply cause Kov is crap and Barrichello quite good :P ) the same as Hamilton this season then... although you have to admit that old Honda was just a complete dog in every aspect, at least this McLaren suits some circuits. Anyway, i guess making errors in a bad car is more excusable than some of the bizarre things we saw Hamilton do in his top class McLaren last season.

(yeah, i only restarted this argument cause i'm bored and skint on a sunday night! )

Brundle made a big statement after race on the F1 Forum.
He said at the moment Jenson is the better driver out of Lewis and him.

Well, he is right, JB is so consistent (and quick) this season, i can't think of any mistakes by him at all... hell, has he even been overtaken apart from Webber in China? Cynics will say it's all down to the car of course... :deadhorse::rolleyes:

im not going to say anything lol ........."just smile and wave"

That would have been when he was practically a rookie right????

(Im only continuing this arguement becuse its preferable to the school work I should be doing for tomorrow :D )

ps. I dont actually think Kovi is crap but I do think he's running out of time to prove that to people.

pps Hamilton HAS been dragging the car up the grid!

Me too, McLaren's radio crew sound too cold, the Brawn guys are more lively.

But you still can't beat Pat Symonds when he comes on the radio with his cattle prod. :D

Going to have to disagree with you there. Quite frankly, Rob Smedley's "Felipe baby!" is never going to be topped. Ever. :P

When it comes down to it, it is practically impossible to compare drivers based on their finishes. The cars, mechanics, pit strategy etc play too large of a role in where the car finishes. It really is a team sport at F1 level.

What you can directly compare on drivers is open track mistakes. What they do wrong says as much about them as how fast the car goes....unless of course they are team mates driving the same car. The fact is that Lewis made a lot of mistakes in 2007 and cost his team the championship..that can't be argued. He did a little better in 2008, but still his mistakes very nearly cost the team again. Button, on the other hand, has not put a wheel wrong at all this season. He is blowing away the competition in points but on track there is nearly always someone pushing him...yet not one single wheel wrong. If he made the mistakes that Lewis is famous for, the points battle would not be nearly this lopsided. For a guy that has never been up at the front like this, I personally find Button's current performance to be amazing. It takes a lot of discipline to keep your head down like he has, and despite all of the success this season...I have not once heard that he has said:

"You see, given a good car I am the man....I'm every bit as good as Senna or Schumacher." nor "Well, Vettel might have won that race if he had more balls" etc

Button is fast, he is likable, and he knows when to keep his mouth shut. He doesn't talk smack about other drivers in the press, nor has he chosen to punt any backmarkers off the track for fun...even when he laps LH who has had no problem doing so in the past.

Good evening Bill :wavey: That was a reasonably well argued post without the usual hyperbole, even though you omitted vital information, but then you blew it by resorting to, same old same old....Ah well, such is life

Blah blah blah...same thing from you day after day. You can't refute a single point in my post, so you resort to insult and trying to start another argument. Tell you what, try forming a decent rebuttal to something I've said..then get back to me.

I agree with much of what you said, Button's doing brill and has hardly put a foot wrong. I congratulated you on most of your post. Ok the bits i disagreed with-
He ought to be doing well with ten years experience and the best car.

"There is nearly always someone pusing him" well no there isnt.

Then you resorted to the usual 'lets have a go at Lewis'-Cant be bothered to give a decent rebuttal to that, it isnt worth answering.

I would agree that Lewis is probably faster, but if Lewis were in Jensen's car this year, I don't think he would have as many wins under his belt because ultimately, consistency through the race and being able to fallow race strategy perfectly has won Jensen all these races.
