Rubens Barrichello will celebrate becoming the most experienced F1 driver of all time this weekend by having his race car and helmet kitted out in a special 257 livery.
This weekend s Turkish Grand Prix will be the 257th for the Brazilian driver, and he will surpass the previous record of 256 Grands Prix held by Ricardo Patrese since 1993.
To celebrate their driver s achievement, Honda have recently held a celebratory event, the Rubens Barrichello 257 Golf Tournament, in his honour. The tournament was held just after the Spanish Grand Prix at the Real Club de Golf El Prat and attracted many big F1 names including Sir Jackie Stewart, Ricard Patrese and Lewis Hamilton.
The players were treated to expert advice from Jose-Manuel Lara from the PGA European Tour, and Paul Barrington, the 2005World Golf Trick Shot Champion. Players also had the chance to compete in an 18-hole tournament. Following the tournament, Barrichello was presented with a Honda CBR 1000rr Fireblade motorcycle to commemorate his achievement.
