There are strong rumours circulating in the F1 paddock that Christijan Albers will not be racing at the European Grand Prix in two weeks time. The Dutchman has had a poor season, consistently being outperformed by rookie driver Adrian Sutil and culminating in an error which saw him leave the pits at the French Grand Prix with a fuel hose still attached to his car.
No-one is commenting in the Spyker camp as yet, however there are a number of drivers that have been linked with a Spyker race seat including Giedo van der Garde, Christian Klien, Marc Gene and Narain Karthikeyan.
It is possible that Albers will not even be testing at Spa-Francorchamps next week.
