Enrico Zanarini, a driver manager whose clients have included Giancarlo Fisichella, Max Biaggi and Eddie Irvine, has said that he believes GP2 champion Giorgio Pantano is ready for Formula 1 although he may face a battle to find a race-seat, and he also believes that Bruno Senna is not quite ready for the top flight just year.
“He [Pantano] is a fantastic driver and he showed his speed and his capabilities this year in winning the championship,†Zanarini explained to magazine GP Week. “Giorgio is one of the best drivers around. The problem for his is that Formula 1 probably will not want him because of his age and because he s been there before.â€
“Obviously in the car he [Senna] is a very good driver but he isn t ready yet,†Zanarini continued. “He s not Hamilton or Rosberg.â€
