According to newspaper reports, Swiss driver Fabio Leimer could be looking at an F1 race seat for the 2012 season.
Reports say that the 22 year old, who is currently sitting in 14th place in the GP2 championship, is being backed by Rainer Gantenbein who has spent over $17 million on the youngster already.
It is currently unclear which teams Leimer would driver for although the newspaper has quoted Gantenbein as saying they are in negotiations with several teams.
