Nigel Stepney, former Ferrari mechanic and the man in the centre of 2007 s Formula 1 espionage scandal, has returned to the motor sport scene as Director of Race Technologies for on-board camera company Gigawave.
Since being fired by Ferrari over the spying saga in the middle of 2007, Stepney has been out of work.
A statement issued by Gigawave about Stepney s new role reads, “The position will cover all areas of Gigawave Ltd’s involvement in motorsport, including the continual development of its on-board camera systems that are used in major worldwide race series
“Gigawave Ltd feels that an engineer of Nigel’s calibre and experience can only benefit the business’s future technological development.”
