Six months after Valentino Rossi turned down a spot in the Ferrari team, he has refused to rule out a future switch to Formula 1. “The F1 chapter is not yet closed,” he explained. “But I still don’t know at this time whether I’ll ever race on four wheels. Ferrar’s offer was a great one but I am highly motivated for the next season in MotoGP – particularly after my difficult time in ’06.”
Rossi has recently tested Mika Hakkinen’s DTM car at Hockenheim. He was about 1 second per lap slower that the top DTM pilot. He will drive a Subaru in New Zealand’s World Rally championship later this month to test if he likes racing on four wheels or not.
