Prodrive’s $80 million budget

The new Prodrive team with enter Formula 1 in the 2008 season with a budget of about $80 million, although this figure does not take into account drivers’ pay which could up the budget by several million more. It will be run by David Richards, the former principal of BAR Honda. The sponsors behind the Prodrive team are not yet know.

The budget is one of the smallest in Formula 1 – Super Aguri is rumoured to have had a $95 million budget in 2006, Super Aguri with a budget of $76 million and Toro Rosso with an estimated $66 million.
