Intermediate Tyre Concerns?

After a wet test session at Jerez, teams have been expressing their concern over the Bridgestone’s new intermediate tyre compound, revealing that the tyre appears to wear out too quickly.

“At the end of ten laps, it felt like I was driving on slicks in the rain,” Kamui Kobayashi commented.

Bridgestone are currently denying that there is anything wrong with the tyres stating that there are no massive changes between the tyres from last season except that the front intermediates are narrower this season to match the dry tyres.

“The wet and intermediate tyres have no significant changes apart from the width of the front intermediate tyre, which will now be the same as the new dry front tyre,” Bridgestone said.
