Hamilton aiming for a world title

Lewis Hamilton has set himself  tough goal – to win a World Championship within three years. The rookie was undoubtably one of the stars of the Australian grand prix, finishing in third place and earning praise from former world champion, Niki Lauda. Lauda stated he thought is was the best race he had seen by a debutant.

Hamilton explained, “Formula 1 is the highest challenge I’ve ever had. I am very competitive and winning is what I want to do. My dream is to win and become a world champion. Three years is a good time to put on my goal to win a world title.”

Hamilton’s performance was so good that many within the Formula 1 circle believe that Hamilton was unlucky to finish behind Alonso, and that in future races, Hamilton may be the quicker of the two McLaren drivers.
