Magny-Cours will be hosting the French Grand Prix for the final time this year and Bernie Ecclestone has said that he hopes that Paris will be able to host a new French Grand Prix by 2010.
Talking to French sports newspaper L Equipe Ecclestone explained, “W agreed that there would be a French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours in 2008 but not in 2009. Prime Minister Francois Fillon has told me that we would then see if we could have a Grand Prix in Paris, or just outside, but that would not necessarily be for 2009, rather for 2010. In any case, 2008 will be the last time we continue like this.â€
This year s French Grand Prix is being held on the 22nd June. The Circuit de Nevers has had the honour of hosting an F1 race stripped thanks to low attendances and a poor infrastructure.
