Former technical director Ross Brawn has said he would be amazed if Ferrari’s longer wheelbase caused any form of disadvantage around the twisty turns of the Monaco circuit.
“I know why they went the longer wheelbase route and it was to do with getting the right weight distribution first and then being able to have the longer wheelbase to generate some aerodynamic advantages,” Brawn explained. “At Monaco, any aerodynamic advantage is still going to be beneficial. I would be amazed if it proves detrimental.”
