I don't think Ross has said that there is a 1st or 2nd driver in his team
Rubens is a brilliant man and driver, but you gotta feel abit sorry for him.
Always second fiddle

He didn't strive for anything better. He achieved want he wanted to achieve - a long career doing what he enjoyed and more money than he can count. Don't feel too sorry for him people.

Very unfair. He just did not get the chances some other people got and was up against Hakkinen and Schumacher. On ability alone, Barrichello was and still is worth a title, but that's not quite how things work out. In each era, there tends to more than one good driver and often more than one capable team, so there's not a lot of room for the third best (or whatever number it is. You get I mean.).
Where was Barrichello going to go to then?

He didn't move because he didn't believe he was good enough to win in a Ferrari, let alone a lesser car. And he didn't have the ambition, or reputation, to try for a lead role in a 2nd or 3rd best team.
He accepted being number two. He's no champion.
