In the Schumacher era at Ferrari, Rubens WDC results were, 2nd-2X, 3rd-1X and 4th-2X. A Ross Brawn managed team has always had a #1 driver and Rubens was there to help secure the WCC title. This thread could have been titled, "Ross Brawn on Rubens," the story of Rubens career.

Jabberwocky wrote:I don't think Ross has said that there is a 1st or 2nd driver in his teamHeard any rumors of Rubens driving for Brawn GP in 2010.

Always second fiddle

JamesD89 wrote:Very unfair. He just did not get the chances some other people got and was up against Hakkinen and Schumacher. On ability alone, Barrichello was and still is worth a title, but that's not quite how things work out. In each era, there tends to more than one good driver and often more than one capable team, so there's not a lot of room for the third best (or whatever number it is. You get I mean.).headless wrote:Rubens is a brilliant man and driver, but you gotta feel abit sorry for him.He didn't strive for anything better. He accepted being number two. He's no champion.
