Its quite sad to hear that.

It does mention that the thing was Piquets idea though. But all the same, a single costly mistake has cost one man his life's work and career. Anyone still think Symonds was unforgivable in his actions, or can he at least leave with a shred of dignity.

I can't forgive him for what he did, but I think he was honourable in not taking the immunity he was offered so that the FIA could get at Flavio. I really feel sad about Pat. I am not fussed by what Briatore and Piquet did, but Pat was the kind of guy that I felt was honest and trustworthy. I genuinely feel disappointed. :(

Interesting he implicated Piquet.

I agree with that. A friend of mine knows,or rather knew Pat. Says he was a really nice guy-quiet. I feel sad about Pat.

That's not the first time he's suggested that it was Piquet's idea. From the leaked evidence:

FIA adviser: Nelson Piquet Jr. says that he was asked by you to cause a deliberate crash. Is that true?
Symonds: Nelson had spoken to me the day before and suggested that. That’s all I’d really like to say.

Hmm... If Nelsinho really suggested it, then I am very much in the wrong for defending him...

It's difficult to know which of the three to believe, none of them have exactly proven themselves trustworthy.

Dunno, suppose it all depends on whether piquet is a big enough idiot to decide he wants to crash out and let his star team mate win.

Then piquet has to be smart enough to work all that out.
