It does mention that the thing was Piquets idea though. But all the same, a single costly mistake has cost one man his life's work and career. Anyone still think Symonds was unforgivable in his actions, or can he at least leave with a shred of dignity.

I can't forgive him for what he did, but I think he was honourable in not taking the immunity he was offered so that the FIA could get at Flavio. I really feel sad about Pat. I am not fussed by what Briatore and Piquet did, but Pat was the kind of guy that I felt was honest and trustworthy. I genuinely feel disappointed.

I agree with that. A friend of mine knows,or rather knew Pat. Says he was a really nice guy-quiet. I feel sad about Pat.

That's not the first time he's suggested that it was Piquet's idea. From the leaked evidence:

Dunno, suppose it all depends on whether piquet is a big enough idiot to decide he wants to crash out and let his star team mate win.

Then piquet has to be smart enough to work all that out.
