watched it,

imo i think its alot more entertaining as a spectacle than f1, (not 1 million appendages)
plus i can relate to it better as they aate just modified refined road cars in essence

what your opinion on it?

Touring cars is great, it was more or less the second Motorsport I got into, and even Murray used to do commentary for it when they used to show it on Grandstand.

I remember being at Silverstone watching the Touring Car race after the 1994 British Grand Prix and there was a big pile up at the first corner which took out drivers like John Cleland, the race was a duel between Gabriele Tarquini in the Alfa Romeo and "Smokin' Jo" Joachim Winkelhock in the BMW. Was a good race too.

The BTCC is fab

It's always got plenty of drama, particularly when they try and barge each other off the track. Also, the animosity between Plato and Neal is fantastic - I love the thinly veiled sarky, barbed comments they both make about each other in post-race interviews.

Yup - this season, rounds 13,14 and 15 will be held at Croft on 31 May/1 June

plato is such a character, he caused that big multi car crash on sunday, ace!
