What's wrong with saying that Button should be number two at McLaren??

That's the truth. :hehe:

"You're as slow as a week in jail so move over for Lewis", should be the order for the run in. It won't of course because Button thinks he's "worldclass"....lol. :drink:

Number of points JB has scored in the last six races: 85
Number of points that LH has scored in the last six races: 60

Oh but of course JB should be a No. 2. driver, because he's not "worldclass" like LH is.

This is plain stupid. In other words, you're simply nitpicking on facts and making facts misleading in favour of your argument.

I could pick 2 or 3 straight races where NoGrip scores like 5 points while Lewis takes around 40, and say Lewis is 8 times faster than Button. See how ridiculous it sounds?

What matters is that at present, Lewis still has a shot at the title while Button does not. He's not mathematically out of it but his chances are not even slim, while Lewis has a slim chance. McLaren should exist to win Championships but no, they keep repeating they exist to win races...so I'm not surprised they let NoGrip fight it out with Kobayashi (who he was never going to get past anyway) while Lewis lost 2 points. But you know what, that's just how this team works and why the faster and yes, BETTER driver is leaving.

In this race? Because Jenson was close and faster than Kobayashi and Lewis was way back.

I mean within the team. Not just this race.
You give priorty to your most talented, fastest driver, in order to maximise your chances of winning.

Ferrari do it with Alonso, Red Bull do it with Seb, yet McLaren want their drivers to be equal, even though their talent says otherwise.

Crazy nonsense.

Erm, do McLaren say they care more about winning races than the championship? It's not relevant in this race . . . they were no where near the lead.

You say he was never going to get past, your just really always negative about Jenson, I think there was a fair chance, and the extra constructors point were the rightful priority.

He belongs in banger racing. :hehe:

Bumper cars more like. I like Webber's idea of him having his own start.

The likelihood of Button passing someone, he needs the driver ahead to be another robot like him driving around and tyres fading badly. I don't know, it seems like most people know more about Button and his 'capabilities' than McLaren itself. This was Lewis' crappiest weekend driving with a crap setup and he finished like 12 seconds behind. If only he had hooked that sh*t up correctly, Vettel might have had to sweat a bit..but that's Lewis' fault of course, no denying that. This was an expensive (and first) mistake from him this season.

Just denying it doesn't make it true. It was just one of those things - s*** happens.

I think Alonso himself has performed the correct analysis: http://www.sportinglife.com/formula1/ne ... -raikkonen

If Alonso told me the sky was blue I'd have to either ask for a 2nd opinion or go outside and check.

So what was Raikkonen meant to do? Levitate, vapourise, hope for a passing spaceship to beam him up?

It was a racing incident in field that got bunched.

Braking is not unheard of in F1 y'know.

So by Andrew's reasoning, should Webber have moved over for Grosjean too??

Anyways... it was a very close call and very slight contact, just unfortunate that it burst the tire. But Kimi should have avoided imminent contact considering he was the one eh... behind?

Button had a gearbox change too remember or he would have been well ahead.

Button's pretty good at passing too. I think he was also on the options whereas Kobayashi was on the primes?

If you could think a bit, this incident might remind you of Grosjean and Schumacher in Monaco. Grosjean moved over till Schumacher made contact with the wall and spun Grosjean out, that was a popular incident which made Grosjean...very unpopular.

Only this time, since there are no walls and it involved Lord Alonso, everyone's like 'ok racing incident' which is understandable since he f*cked over himself so there was not much need to care about.

Yeah, I'm talking about race pace. My point is, Lewis screwed himself over during qualifying giving himself a sh*tbox to drive with and he still finished just 12 seconds behind Button. They started side by side on track which further proves my point.

Does it? Maybe Lewis setup more for the race, maybe the car wasn't that bad and Lewis had a poor qualifying but the race pace was similar.

Ferrari has Alonso as priority driver
Red Bull has Seb as priority driver
McLaren has everyone equal, even though Lewis is clearly the more talented of the two.

Then people wonder why I say that McLaren doesn't want to win any championships these days. Even the most clueless F1 fan knows that you should give priority to your fastest driver...lol.

McLaren have lost the plot imo.
