I'm not sure that follows. In Brazil, McLaren went (much too) conservative because they knew they basically had to finish the race and do nothing silly to win the title. If things had turned out differently, McLaren and Hamilton's mindset may have been different.

Then there would have been half a chance Hamilton would have crashed.

But I think he will be taken seriously if he does very good this season. And somehow i feel he will be a better and stronger driver.

By the way... Massa didnt spin in Monaco. But he spun at Sepang... and it was dry! And remember, he should have won Singapore too.

That's a bit unfair. I said I had great admiration for Massa's efforts in 2008, even if I felt he was not perhaps as skilled as, say, Raikkonen. However, working harder and showing more determination than your rivals can atone for whatever wee bit you may lack in skill. Massa proved that, for instance, by wiping the floor with Raikkonen in 2008.

Funny thing... Massa IS sporting new facial hair for 2009. A full goatee, tache included.
