No. Thats my point. Im totally indifferent to '66. It has no baring or relevance on today. And Im sure a big % of the British public feel the same (even the English). It just the press that go on about it, as they need something to put in the rags they sell.

But, regardless, it doesnt take away from the fact that *most* of the British public* think the Olympics have been an outright success. And for the British to be positive about something we have done / are doing (whilst it is happning) is very rare.

The people I know who ARE old enough to remember, dont go on about it. The people who are more my age and were born more than a decade after the event definitely don't mention it. Which backs up my point that its just the press who bring it up at every major football tournament.
