There is a mechanic somewhere on that team who has been chewed up one wall and down the other. The brakes are a simple system in comparison to the other aspects of the car and should never fail in that way. Sticking caliper maybe? Other than that, all I can think of is improperly bled brake line and either way a mechanic should never have allowed that to happen. Without antilock installed, I can't think of anything else that could cause that type of failure. With antilock, it can be a sensor failure but in a straight mechanical system....poor mechanic. F1 brakes are a straight hydraulic system aren't they? With weight being of such an importance, I'm wondering if the weight of the brake fluid didn't bring about some other system I'm unaware of.

he could be just bullshitting

Oh my god...

Surely you jest?

Come on bud...don't mess with me now. Two lying F1 drivers on the grid at the same time would surely upset the balance of the universe.....it just can't be. No...no...I refuse to believe it. No sir...not possible.

Ok, you are probably right.

I dont think they were holding back at all they just did not have the best setup for the race simple as that. In the post race interview Jens was open with his difficulties as was Vettel and Webber and their only comment was about the aquaplaning. Jens complained of getting heat into the tires aswell as the brakes ontop of the aquaplaning.

Atleast Brawns strategy and Jens driving payed off in a podium finish.

Just my opinion though,

No I don't think Brawn held back at all but at the same time I don't think the drivers went all out or did do or die stuff which is probably a good idea.
