Exactly! I still think Ferrari should be done for entrapment, after all it was one of their employees who supposedly gave Mclaren the information in the first place.

Why should the team be penalized for something that was unbeknowngst to them? Stepney was the rat not the overall team. The team did not PLANT the information and then run to the FIA yelling foul.

It's been known since Turkey that Alonso wasn't sharing setup information. That's supposedly why Hamilton's tyre failed, his more experienced teammate kept information about the strain on the front right tyre from him.

I have a feeling McLaren's 2008 car will be a bit of a pup compared to this year's effort. It just seems probable, after their luck this season.

That'd have the side-effect that the ITV broadcast team, a.k.a the Lewis Hamilton Fan Club, might have to find something else to talk about. Such as, I don't know, other drivers...?

It'd be nice. I know it's because he's British, ITV is British etc but it does get a bit tiresome. I would have loved to see a full rundown of Kimi's rise to F1, or Alonso's. S'not Lewis' fault though. It's inevitable.

Why should the team (Mclaren) be penalized for something that was unbeknowngst to them? Coughlan was the rat not the overall team. The team got rid of him as soon as they knew.

They had something that did not belong to them thus the penalty. I would expect the same penalty if the role's were reversed so I'm in no way bashing McLaren.
