As far as I'm concerned, Hamilton had every right to say what he did. He has nothing to prove with regards to his performance last year. He proved everything he needed to when he won the championship  All he needs to do now is continue to drive as well as he can. If he wins again great............if not, then it certainly doesn't mean he didn't deserve it in 2008.

As far as people going on about luck etc. All drivers have benefited at some point in their careers from mistakes and bad judgements made by other teams and drivers  not just Lewis!!!! And quite frankly I'd say he has had more than his fair share of bad luck and undeserved stress from the FIA so far too :banghead: But to say that most of his achievements came of the back of someone else's misfortune is absolute lunacy

When are some people gonna get over the fact that he beat Massa fair and square. It's a new season.................move on :irked:

Oh yeah..............thumbs up for 3rd place

Saying he beat him fair and square is a complete joke? He gained a place thru someone else’s miss judgment? So I wouldn’t say that. Thru that he hasn't come across the best way to people? Because there are allot of British people that think the same too. To have your own country hate you is saying something? No one I know hates JB? So he has obviously done something wrong in his career? He’s small child that has had nothing but everything come his way now in this sport that will not happen with the way he comes across. We have new talent and that is going to over-come. Massa does not go off the way he did! And that is why more British people support a Brazilian for Fook sake. We can argue forever but in the end he won title of a mistake. That’s the problem?

Hey, it was a great show. Everybody got their money's worth except the red team fans---ha ha!!

Now sir you are just being rude, Lewis only got that from luck. Or a fluke as some say. I have no problem with Lewis getting 3rd, it was well deserved. But you are just talking SHI-TTTT!!! So please re-phrase what you have said because we had problem? If next race you have problem I will dance round a sombrero laughing at you. No that’s bad sportsmanship; I guess you really are taking after the cocky cun-t. Why can't u be a good McLaren fan like 'McLaren Fan or Bud' you are what make me hate McLaren

while i thank you for your props i must say i dislike Ferrari fans, heres an example of arrogance....

these w**kers put this flag directly infront of the McLaren merchandise stand, while it was nice and shady for us they did kinda cramp the shoppers in there and wouldnt move when asked by the shop assistants. it took security to have a word before they budged even then as you can see from my picture they only moved over slightly. Atleast the customers could get in and have a look and clearly the McLaren stand is busier than Ferrari one next door :hehe:

lol what?

The British people generally like Hamilton, the British who don't are usually more outspoken, especially on internet forums so it can be deceiving...

Hah... Brazil and Britian are far different when it comes to sport, with the Brazillians being exceptionally patriotic (to the point of throwing bad luck charms at the main championship rivals, namely Lewis Hamilton last year in Brazil) where as the British crowd are more objectionable, more open minded and most of the time, they can notice good talent when they see it.

Hm I'd have you know that Button is one of the highest paid drivers in F1, more than Hamilton. So he didn't exactly have 'nothing'.

Massa said he 'owned' the Istanbul Park circuit before he won it for the third time in a row last year, surely that sounds arrogant? But can you deny that he doesn't 'own' it? It's the same with Hamilton, whatever he has done to be called arrogant, other drivers have done the same, so there is no reason to discriminate Hamilton as far as that goes..

Glock from dead-last to fifth was also suitably impressive. And these two guys aren't considered to be even remotely close to Lewis' abilities by the majority of Lewis' fans.

They have 'the Diffuser'. Trulli and Glock drove very good races.
But Lewis' was better. After lap 1 i was predicting either him or Kimi to end up at the wall... :irked:

Regardless, all of these great drives would have meant much less had it not been for Vettel and Kubica, and Rubens f'ing it up.

I wouldn't say that Britain hates Lewis Hamilton.................largely due to his huge amount of fans and support  There will always be new talent that surfaces to threaten anybody's reign........that's sport, would be pretty boring if it didn't happen. To be so short sighted and single minded must be a huge chore :banghead: Massa was extremely unfortunate last year but that's racing. Some people need to grow up and see it for what it is. Has Massa never benefited from somebody else's mistake????? I think so!!! As for being a small child that has had everything handed to him on a plate.........utter tosh. He has worked hard for his achievements and they are well deserved!!!! If he doesn't achieve the championship this year then so be it and us Lewis fans will wish him the best for the following season  Anyway, this is now way off topic but had to comment on the unnecessary Lewis bashing as it drives me mad however, I'm not prepared to get into a slanging match, having said that...........I've tried really hard to see things from your point of view but I really can't get my head that far up my behind :banghead: credit where credit is due.

I think you are having a laugh? While you seem to think Lewis is a favoured driver you must be smoking something. He is only supported thru the much quick risen o his success rate? Much like the Schumi era. He was favoured thru the pure fact of he was winning all the time. Not like some supporters like 'Cough, Cough' me who supported Ferrari from when I was 7! & Supported Schumi Just before he got the 7up Jordan race thru watching him on Jap F300. But while this season is career could determinate I think you will all agree to disagree that you will all jump on the JB band wagon unlike Bud or McLaren they support the Team which is a successful unit of drivers that I must say are a great team in which have been Ferrari's best competitors for years! And more to come until both teams get pissed off and we go somewhere else... until then Lewis has made an impact and my own personal beliefs are not fact. He did in my own personal opinion win that title thru someone’s else’s mistake, he did not over take him with amazing passing style, he did not beat Massa by amazing skill, he won by a single point. Which in my books in nothing but a small line. So also to back up my theory off Britain hating Hamilton here is a real website:
I don’t think Lewis can be compared to Schumi? 7 titles and have the world love him then get back to me.

As I have just said. My opinion on Hamilton is merely because of my situation from being Tifosi but with the other part of Britain hating him I have evidence of this. Otherwise I would be talking utter shi-t. But fortunately I m not, It is a fact Hamilton is one of the most hated drivers of all time thru his sheer fact of attitude and the way h comes across to the fans and people of F1. It is not fair, but as you kindly put it, this is Formula 1, if you wind up the wrong crowd you will have the name put to your head for life. Hamilton has the hate of Spain, Brazil, Britain & Most probably Italy. I don’t see many countries backing him except for the ones who have been loyal to the team. But you Hamilton fans are only going on the fact of his success rate? People like Robert have supported him thru his beginning stages, which is a true fan. Most of you have jumped on the bandwagon 2nd season when you realised he isn’t that bad :irked: Thru you believing I have my head up my arse? That is your opinion. But I m fighting for my team and what I believe to be an un-fair handing to Massa and some members under rating him and being a sheep as ‘Bud’ likes to call it by thinking he is the greatest of them all blah, blah, blah? Rather than seeing it from our point of view that it could have been a little unfair for Massa. While Hamilton did deserve the title in some ways.

Hamilton doesn't have to prove he's the Champion, in the same way Massa doesn't have to prove he was almost the Champion. It's so stupid for people (usually fanatics) and reporters to keep challenging those who definitely show amazing skills, and talent. Lewis' reply was perfect. He has nothing to prove. He did so last year.

What he needs to prove is that he can be this year's Champion, but then, that's something all the other top drivers must try to prove!

And now back to the race: I feel bad for Trulli, he's one of my favorite drivers, but that was a dumbassed move from him. I was really glad to see him on the podium. Hamilton drove a great race--didn't crash with anyone, exemplary overtaking, consistent results...all this with a dog of a car. He came from the back and carefully moved his way up until he was in the top 10. I' admire that from any driver. We gotta give credit where it is due.

This just started as a very interesting season!

Who cares about Hammy and Trulli, the whole field got seriously Brawned.
Why does just about every thread in here degrade to jabs over being blind sheep for team X?
ps: Vettel and Robert should've both played it cool at that stage of the race given what was at risk

Brawn3d! :hehe:

The Strewards fault here really if they made decisions quicker or weren't so harsh on Mclaren this wouldnt of happned and Trulli would of got 4th.

Eitheway great drive in one of the worst cars in the field.

This should silence any doubts as to how good LH is.
