As far as I'm concerned, Hamilton had every right to say what he did. He has nothing to prove with regards to his performance last year. He proved everything he needed to when he won the championship
All he needs to do now is continue to drive as well as he can. If he wins again great............if not, then it certainly doesn't mean he didn't deserve it in 2008.
As far as people going on about luck etc. All drivers have benefited at some point in their careers from mistakes and bad judgements made by other teams and drivers
not just Lewis!!!! And quite frankly I'd say he has had more than his fair share of bad luck and undeserved stress from the FIA so far too
But to say that most of his achievements came of the back of someone else's misfortune is absolute lunacy
When are some people gonna get over the fact that he beat Massa fair and square. It's a new season.................move on
Oh yeah..............thumbs up for 3rd place
Saying he beat him fair and square is a complete joke? He gained a place thru someone else’s miss judgment? So I wouldn’t say that. Thru that he hasn't come across the best way to people? Because there are allot of British people that think the same too. To have your own country hate you is saying something? No one I know hates JB? So he has obviously done something wrong in his career? He’s small child that has had nothing but everything come his way now in this sport that will not happen with the way he comes across. We have new talent and that is going to over-come. Massa does not go off the way he did! And that is why more British people support a Brazilian for Fook sake. We can argue forever but in the end he won title of a mistake. That’s the problem?
lol what?
The British people generally like Hamilton, the British who don't are usually more outspoken, especially on internet forums so it can be deceiving...
Hah... Brazil and Britian are far different when it comes to sport, with the Brazillians being exceptionally patriotic (to the point of throwing bad luck charms at the main championship rivals, namely Lewis Hamilton last year in Brazil) where as the British crowd are more objectionable, more open minded and most of the time, they can notice good talent when they see it.
Hm I'd have you know that Button is one of the highest paid drivers in F1, more than Hamilton. So he didn't exactly have 'nothing'.
Massa said he 'owned' the Istanbul Park circuit before he won it for the third time in a row last year, surely that sounds arrogant? But can you deny that he doesn't 'own' it? It's the same with Hamilton, whatever he has done to be called arrogant, other drivers have done the same, so there is no reason to discriminate Hamilton as far as that goes..
