Probably Ferrari and the Italians not wanting to admit they were only fast because of Schumacher...

well, in the first part of the season everything went well, now they suffers the loss of MS for the technical improvements

Yep, and the testing/technical feedback until 11pm every night and the demand for a strong development program and the close working relationship with Ross Brawn and the fear of god put into the other drivers and the huge political clout that goes with being a 7 time world champion and and and...

Could it be, possibly, that McLaren have just improved their car faster than Ferrari??? It is possible to beat them you know..... Seems like a simple answer to me - the perception seems to be that if Ferrari do everything right then they'll win all the time. This is simply not true - McLaren are a world-class team having won many world-championships across many years.

It doesn't always have to be because of a 'problem' at Ferrari - it can simply be that another team is better....

I was invited to the McLaren's hospitality area, someone took it out of my bag. As I was leaving, I saw Ron Dennis was nice enough to make Alonso a white protein drink.

ROFL!!!!

It's all quite mysterious isn't it, i bet this gets made into a film. How connected are Ferrari to the Mafia now? I heard Todt was threatened etc (not sure he got the horses head) when he started his job. It does make you wonder, especially when you consider Italian football, and the fact that all referees were bought new Fiats by a team one year!

The powder was discovered at the factory 6 days before the race though, not at the race.

Nelson Piquet probably did it as he was always a practical joker when one time during a boring pre-race briefing when the then FISA Predident Jean Pierre Balastere was droning on, Piquet sneaked up to him with a jug of water and poured it into Balastere's jacket pocket. :P

Berger glued a pair of boxer's mitts to Senna's steering wheel after Senna had gone and decked Irvine for that move that took himself and 3 other people out. But we digress. Looks like this is heating up!

It seems more practical that Stepney would sell Ferrari blueprints for money. If he did sabotage the Ferraris with this mysterious white powder then what was his motive? Someone paid him to slow the Ferraris? Who? Hmm, Mclaren would benefit the most from that. Maybe this is more of a tactic against Mclaren.
