It's mere speculation. Investigation for criminal behavior, white powder found in Massa's tank in Monaco, blueprints illegally sold to rivals, These are Ferrari's claims. What do you guys think?

He has been with the squad since '92, would he really do something like this? But on the other hand where is the performance the Ferraris had, it has seem to have vanished!

This why I hate Ferrari. :x The car is not good enough so they are looking to scapegoat someone of the stature of Nigel Stepney? They are now paranoid so the fall will continue. Let them fall behind BMW and the world will be back in balance. What a bunch of losers.

It seems Stepney has been rather disgruntled at the firm since the end of last season when he was passed over or something. He has been in an office job back at the factory and has not been present at any races this year.

Words that come to mind: sour grapes, scapegoats, bad loosers.

But perhaps I'm stupid or something, so can somebody please explain to me how someone like Nigel Stepney who has been given a desk job at Maranello this season gets such magical powers that allow him to insert powder in Massa's Ferrari's fuel tank some 2000 kilometres away, from his office in Maranello.

Telemetry innovations anyone?

Piquet was so right.

"According to sources, traces of a mysterious powder were discovered on the fuel tanks of the cars of Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen and Brazilian Felipe Massa on May 21 at the Maranello factory, six days before the Monaco Grand Prix. "

anyway, the white powder would have been put in the refuel systems before the cars had been carried in monaco...

I heard of this type of thing before. It appears someone was smugling cocaine in the Ferraris.

Hey they lose the best driver (shumi), best track strategist/tech director(Brawn), best mechanic (stepney) and best designer (byrne) and now even though its not lost they lack the steadiness to stay cool. They better have some strong evidence and win their case or Stepney will sue them and wind up owning Ferrari!

I find it hard to believe that Stepney would risk his professional career to 'sabotage' his teams car!! That just does not sound right at all. What is this I, Claudius?
