Im not at work because we have had the worst ICE Storm in 6yrs today. I am working from home. It sucks!!!!

I believe my brother is in your neck of the woods working as he runs a crew that installs and repairs powerlines and such. All I know is that at 12pm I was fishing and it was a sunny 75 degree's and then around 5pm the temp had dropped almost 20 degree's.

You may want to convert those temps into Celsius for the majority of our members here  - Fahrenheit is such a retarded way of measuring temps
I'm running a futile crusade against it on a daily basis :banghead:

So: 24 degrees C and a drop of around 11.

Celcius and Fahrenheit are both retarded. kilometers and Miles are much easier to figure out. An F1 car can go about 340kph.. That's hella fast in mph

Au contraire my friend: Celsius is metric and has a logical basis: 0 C is when water (the most abundant and important compound for life on Earth) freezes - and it boils at 100 C. Compare this to the arbitrary 32 F for the freezing point and 212 F for boiling (WTF!?). :banghead:

I actually prefer miles over kilometers. Why? You do about 60 miles per hour on average when you travel - an hour has 60 minutes, so it's very easy to estimate the time it takes to go to a place 45 miles away. Try that with kilometers and it's a bit more involved.

Yeh, but kilometers makes it sound faster lol

Fahrenheit is what I grewup with and what I use but I will convert to celsius to appease the masses. Anyway back to the subject at hand, yepper bud that is hot man and one must take precautions not to get heatstroke.

Whether hot and sunny, cold and rainy or snowy . . . . I'm out on the bike. Stop ya whining :hehe:

Although I'd agree that 40C is too hot for bugger all!

I was watching the Australian Open and heard about it. It's better than the cold and rain, anyway. It plays havoc with my asthma. :irked:

It is better than cold and rain? No it isn't. That stupid heatwave in Adelaide has come straight across to Melbourne. It is 40 plus everyday here and I hate it. I cant even go to the tennis because of the stupid heat. Well I manged to go that day when it was under 30. It was hot just sitting there watching even in the high 20s, so imagine 40 plus! And eveything is dry and dying. It needs to rain. Rain, rain, rain and more rain please............................

In all fairness 40c and dry is more comfortable than some of the 40+c with humidity we experience here in Texas, especially here on the Gulf Coast, on a yearly basis as it is the norm. Give me cold and rainy anyday over the heat and humidity.

yeah dry heat is alot more bearable than a humid heat. thankfully Adelaide SA has a really dry heat but its still sweltering to go outside, unless you like to sweat and get all icky and sticky :hehe:
