typical human response, never at fault for ones actions.

Uhhh no, it could just be my own opinion. In the 1970s the latest rage was about global cooling and now in the 00s it's the turn of global warming the media twists and turns this theory.

ps the global warming has been around since i was a teenager in the 90s, back then it was called the greenhouse effect and evidence used was the hole in the ozone layer in the antartic. now that is a definitive affect from human action

Well i'm no scientist, but what ever is behind the theory, it is a reality.

But governments aren't doing enough to try aid the problem. Maybe we cannot slow it down? Even so we should try.
It is little things - like trying to get you to reuse supermarket bags - instead of advising why not just ban them?

And also get all of the PC mob and their aunts and arrest them.
The amount of time wasted on trying to establish windfarms or new nuclear power plants because of these protesters pisses me off.
In Sheffield there was a big uproar when they wanted to knock an old cooling tower down - because it was a "land mark"
So if they want to keep something like that up, surely they won't mind some wind farms or new cooling towers put up?

are you kidding me?

whats it down to? sure its happened in the past but NOT at this rate! wake up and you would understand that RIGHT NOW we are experiencing the greatest extinction rate since the extinction of the dinosaurs.

but we have nothing to do with that. we are not a disease on the face of the earth

I'm not even going to bother debating with you because it is blatant that I'm not gonna affect your opinion whatsoever so I would just be wasting my breath.

Sometimes the best solutions to major problems are the simplest. If sea levels are rising, why not just put a big pipe in it and have a pumping station draining the water and taking it somewhere that needs it badly, say the middle of Africa where the only water to drink is muddy water. I'm sure it wouldn't cost a Government too much to set up a simple pumping station, pipeline and filtering plant. Not if everybody chips in a little for it. And there you have it, a solution that rids the world of 2 problems.

Or is it not that simple?

Desalination at that scale would be difficult.

I have generally felt human activity is at fault, and some of the activity has been pretty irresponsible, but much of it has been us simply existing and surviving. By that I mean that you can't live without using something. The industrial age is only recent though, and it has seen resource use and air pollution a zillion time as before. Once we run out of oil it will be over. We're already past peak production so in a hundred years we'll be living in huts pushing our own ploughs.

I can't believe people are still arguing about this. No scientific evidence my arse!
