Just as it says...

I think it was just one of those things that the media get hold of and take to extremes, and with their current focus obviously being the global 'recession'/credit crunch, not many really give a shiit about global warming any more cause they have other 'problems' to worry about. Which all just seems pretty funny to me... and kinda indicates that no one seriously thinks it is as big a problem as has been made out.

All that said, i did like seeing those dongs in oversized 4x4's get charged increasing wankloads in taxes, emission charges and what have you. :hehe: Hopefully they'll keep that bit up, those people can afford it anyway.

Tell that the polar bears which are drowning because the arctic icecap has all but gone in the summer.
Greenland's ice shelf is melting at an alarming rate. Most glaciers in the world have been receding in the past couple decades or are gone altogether.
Sea levels have been rising so that the first island nations in the Pacific had to be evacuated already or will have to be soon as they get submerged and cease to exist.

Tell the Polar bears to fly south for the winter.

You mean south for the summer, deep south like Antarctica and gorge on penguins?

Aye the summer even :S Stupid me.

But seriously, no matter the true extent of global warming, the world is heating up.
We need renewable resources, the US govt should scrap drilling for more oil for a kick off.
Scotland is gonna rake it in if Wind Power takes people's fancies. We have 1/10 of Europe's entire wind...

typical human response, never at fault for ones actions.

Uhhh no, it could just be my own opinion. In the 1970s the latest rage was about global cooling and now in the 00s it's the turn of global warming the media twists and turns this theory.

whats it down to? sure its happened in the past but NOT at this rate! wake up and you would understand that RIGHT NOW we are experiencing the greatest extinction rate since the extinction of the dinosaurs.
