With the commentary on, how do they refer to your car? Is it just like, 'the second Renault'?

Who you talkin' to?

Anyone

They refer to last names and the cars they are driving.

My newest console is a Super Nintendo. No kidding. I do play F1 on it LOL I have 2 F1 games for it actually

ah, Madbrad, guessed you got the "Super Aguri" version of the gaming system. A little behind on technology but still fun :D

Ouch, it's like everyone on that Sony forum got out of the wrong side of bed that day, which leads me to question whether they were sleeping in the same bed?!

there was a couple of threads asking why people on the Sony forum can't take criticism because no matter what, the PS3 will forever be compared with the 360, yup, it got "locked". There was another thread one of the members started- "how old are you when you got your PS3", 16, 15, 17, 16, 18, 14... This should have giving me a hint to some of the pre-school stuff on that forum.

If anyone got that game, PM me and lets race. As for the Monaco track, after 12 tries, still haven't been abled to finish because I keep crashing out, its frustrating but extremely fun.

I have Nigel Mansell's World Championship on my SNES, bit too much of a Super Monaco GP clone and at the start even if you're on pole you'll drop down to last at the start.

I have Grand Prix on my Atari 2600 and I think it's Uber fun...

Seriously though, I'm dying to get a PS3 just for the F1 game, I just cannot justify $1000 for it yet, will wait to get one second hand or Christmas... I got burnt on the PS2, pre ordered it and paid a gazillion pounds for it in the UK, turned out to be a pile of sh!t...

So I'll wait...

For those in Europe/Austrilia, just wait. From what I gathered on the Sony Forum, customers in Europe/Austrilia are pretty pissed about the PS3. The online system is terrible with almost nothing updated or anything to download. The hardware is different from the US PS3 because they have to cut corners to bring cost down. Just wait because Sony will have no choice but to start dropping prices on them.

The cost cutting is especially insulting, we pay $200 more

That must be what I have. How many mansell SNES games can there be?

I think that's the only one. Another F1 game on the SNES I can think of was F1 Pole Position, based on the 1992 season. I remember the N64 version based on 1996 season, looked like a virtua racer clone.

I read somewhere that the only thing missing hardware wise for PAL and Europe users from the US version is the playablity of some PS2 games, something to do with using an emulator whlie the US version has direct playback ability. and ive had to update my system software 2 times already so dunno why you rekn theres no updates, theres more to come too!

i find nothing wrong with the online system, its free unlike Xbox where you subscribe. the ps store has free downloads, eg gran turismo HD concept game and various other demo's you can download movies, i only just downloaded the making of F1championship edition the other day
this is all early days with software updates the ps3 will only get better and better.
i think the users whinging should spend abit less time on the pc or console and do other more active things if they are unhappy with what they have!

Meh, doesn't bother me.

I went for the Wii.

The only thing hat bugs me about Sony is that they came into gaming to mainstream it. Now they're skewing hardcore. WAY hardcore. It makes no sense.

That, and, you know, the arrogance.

Real-time weapon change FTW ¬_¬

I read this as well, in fact we are only getting the 60gb model when there is a lesser storage version. I kind of like the idea of downloading films and music and having an easy way to pay for them, as long as they don't get too cheeky with the price and you can add extra storage via a common connector like usb or firewire etc...

Sony make good stuff, but they have always pissed me off with their take on the world attitude by trying to ram their software and formats down everyone's throats...

2nd Generation games are always so much better, I might wait for the next release of an F1 game, by then it should be about $500 and maybe I can get a badboy wheel for it as wel...
