That's my take also 8-ball. I'm happy, but still, the proof is in the pudding. I hope he is able to do everything that he has said during his campaign. I also hope the politics of Washington change as a result. If you saw the look on President Elect Obama face last night during his exceptance speech, it wasn't like he just won the Presidency, but as if he inherited a touch project and already began working on it. I hope he can use some of his ground game in this new administration, such as using technology to get citizens mobilized, and providing some transparencies into his administration. These are only things I can hope for. We will see for sure...
As a black man i should be kinda happy about his election but life in Britain has made me cynical of all politicians.
Congtrats to him but he still has to prove to me that he isn't like the rest of them

Sometimes war is necessary, but it should be avoided where possible. The biggest thing that annoys me about US foreign policy is that they won't talk to anybody. If you talk, there's a chance of progress. If you refuse to communicate, divisions just become further entrenched. Obama is right, then, in my view, to offer to talk to states that don't like the West etc.. Contrary to what McCain believes, talking to them doesn't mean you are suddenly going to best buddies with them. I guess I'm showing my ambivalence about who I wanted to win.
