almost all the points, [bar the 2nd] came from alonso, i know alonso is excellt, but piquet is just so damn unreliable! if u had a car like it, ud ditch it!

Giancarlo isn't bad. In fact, he's pretty good in a bad car. But then something seems to happen to him when he's got a good car underneath him :/

I know i've supported him since day 1 and its like taking 1 step forward and 2 back...bless him!!

On the Piquet subject though, he has actually been pretty poor this season, they banged on about him saying how brilliant he was going to be and he hasn't really done much...except ruin the Singapore GP(or make it for Lewis H)!!

I think Alonso picked up the most points in the last dozen races or so. Pretty impressive. Looking forward to a strong challenge from Renault, well Alonso anyway, next year.

Alonso has had a good end of season. At the beginning, although he was driving fairly well and looking after himself, he was complaining about the team, not going to debriefings etc. - it was all getting rather tiresome and verging on the offensive - but since the car started to improve he's knuckled down and put in some great drives.

Piquet ruined the Singapore GP and lost Massa the championship then. OUT NOW

Nah, I think Piquet lost out from missing so much action over 2007. He did no racing at all, and has felt consequences. But the probelm is, he showed no signs of getting better did he. Excluding the fluke of a podium in Germany, he earned 11 points. Pretty poor in a car that had the potenial to score 61 in the hands of Alonso. He never once out-qualied Alonso either. Not once.
He hasn't earned another dirve unfortunately, but part of me still thinks he deserves a place in F1. Just not at Renault next year.

And Piquet is one of the worst wet weather drivers I've ever seen, I though Massa was bad at Silverstone but Piquet has crashed out in practically every wet race.
