By the way I thing you have some serious issues if you can tolerate the wrong actions of a team you support and still stick with them. Especially if they are against the traditions and/or rules of the sport in question.

Ferrari are one of the reasons I enjoyed Sebastian Vettel's victory at Monza so much. Ferrari, McLaren and the rest were shown up by a car run by the majority of the Minardi team, a genuine Italian team who have now proved that if they had received the financial backing of the top teams all those years ago, they too could have been winning Grands Prix.

The victory for Toro Rosso could be the best thing I've ever seen in F1, and one of the reasons my faith in F1 is now fully restored.

Number 1, I do not have any serious issues whatsoever. Despite what you say, weather it is true or not, that is no reason why anyone should change teams. Obviously you said you started watching F1 as a Ferrari Fan and then changed because you didn't like Ferrari's behaviour. I can see you were not never a true fan as if you were you wouldn't change teams. No one does. Just like a real football supporter of their club wouldn't. I know Brtits who support Ferrari and they would never change teams nor support McLaren or even Lewis Hamilton over Ferrari. This is now in the present after all the accusations you bring forward about Ferrari in current decade. Although they like anyone else can admit any wrong doings by Ferrari, if their heart like my heart is with Ferrari, they like I share a passion for the team, why would we eveb consider changing? McLaren last year cheated. That is a bigger offence then all these little things Ferrari has done this decade according to you. (And I don't care how you try and say McLaren didn't really cheat). After the Spygate I don't see any McLarenites turn to Ferrari or any other team do I? They stick to their team in good times and bad times. To me what it seems is that no one else but Ferrari can do wrong and people start believing that crap and then do the unthinkable and change sides. Well that is for the weak minded and untrue loyal supporters. That isn't me so I'll be a Ferrari Tifosa until the day I die.

I love how Ferrari fans assume that someone who complains about them is a McLaren fan.

I agree that true fans of a team stick with them through good times and bad. But if you doubt that I can be a true fan of a team, I support Leeds United. If you know football you will know exactly what I mean.

I'm not a McLaren fan, I am a fan of good drivers. Button, Fisi, Trulli and Alonso were my favourite drivers so I followed Renault for a while. I don't really have a team in F1 any more (yes, I am a Hamilton fan though). So I think I am in a good position to assess the various antics of the F1 teams.

Ferrari may not have won in the 1990s, but at least they had honour. Ferrari have completely forgotten what sportsmanship means. Enzo Ferrari could be a right b@st@rd at times, but he always appreciated the sporting value of Formula One.

Dont forget that most of these so called ferrari fans are just bandwagoners who suddenly started liking ferrari during the dark years of the cheating kraut, most have the sporting ethics of a man U fan - none at all.

They dont care that Todt, Brawn, schummacher took a great team and threw away its principles with their win at all costs even if it means cheating philosophy.

That german, whats his name, Herr Rasscass, he took to the cheating like a duck to water.

The glory boys will love them forever cos they get satisfaction form wins - it dont matter how its been done as long as they win. Shame on ferrari, they brought dishonour to the sport to feed their greed.

He was generalising about Ferrari supporters in general. And that gets me cut as it isn't fair for the real ones like myself. I guess I now know how Manchester United fans (real ones that is) feel when they get called bandwagon supporters. And no I don't barrick for the Scum United either nor the Bindippers (Baastards bet my team :( ) and yes I do follow the EPL. Blue is the colour........ Anyway back to this orginal topic, I hate it when some newbie just comes on and the first thing they say is either Ferrari sucks or McLaren sucks.

Yeh Generalization is not fun and its no just giving out general s*** talk about a team in F1 any team just because you do not support them,

Sorry about the generalisation Mr AKR, I wasn't necessarily talking about you.

Revised Post to remove generalisations.

In my experience both here and at sportnetwork, lots of of so called ferrari fans are just bandwagoners who suddenly started liking ferrari during the dark years of the cheating kraut, most [but not AKR obviously] have the sporting ethics of a man U fan - none at all, no morals and no principles.

Lots of them [but not AKR obviously] dont care that Todt, Brawn and schummacher took a great team and threw away its principles with their win at all costs even if it means cheating philosophy.

That german, whats his name, Herr FUKKINCHIN, took to this like a duck to water.

The glory boys [but not AKR obviously] will love them forever cos they get satisfaction from wins - it dont matter how its been done as long as they win. Its a shame that ferrari and the FIA brought dishonour to the sport to feed their own greed.

Mr AKR

He is a she. She'll not be happy about this either. :hehe:

I do agree with you. Ferrari have always had a big fanbase, but it is not as vast as they would have us all believe. Many so-called Ferrari fans jumped on the bandwagon when Schumacher was winning everything in sight. When they won very little for over two decades, outside of Italy, they didn't have half the support they had now. People were supporting the likes of Prost and, more particularly, Senna when he was at McLaren. Deal with it, Kiki. :wavey:

Yeh you have the die hard fans who support the team and the fans who support the driver and follow them from team to team.

For example you might have a fan support Kimi and come across as a Mclaren fan then when he goes to Ferrari he/she is a Ferrari fan.

Then you just got glory hunters who support whoever is winning at the time.

Ok, Ok, Ok, I get the drift you don't mean me "[but not AKR obviously] ".......... All good. And like McLaren Fan said it is Miss AKR but you didn't know that, but that is ok this time. :wavey: Although on my avatar it says I am a Ferrari Tifosa not a Ferrari Tifoso. Tifoso is masuline, Tifosa is femine, Tifosi is plural for all male or both male and female and Tifose is plural for just females. :D

My quote of "Probably 75% of the worlds F1 supporters support Ferrari" came from an English commentor in the 90s. I believe it would of come out of the great Murry Walker's mouth as well. At the time (in the 90s and yes it is a long 10 years when I can't remember which races he said it in) I actually would of watched all my races in Italian and Slovenian commentary, but of course in this age and age I download past races and have a lot of then in English which would of been how you watched them. I don't rememebr whcih races or races it was but it was in the 1990s, probably mid 1990s when Ferrari were not so good and Murry Walker said that. He is English and so the comment isn't biased and it was said when Ferrari were not the best, thus if it is true then Ferrari have always had the most fans. I would say it increased even more later in during the Schumacher era of dominance.
