You're starting to lose your subtlety at making McLaren appear to be the best but not just saying "McLaren are better". That phrase of McLaren having the superior in 2007 and also in 2008 if you want to add that in is a total nonsense. Ferrari have had the best car last season and this season and you know it. Weather they really cheated or not is irrelevant to the fact that Ferrari's cars were better and in general are still better to this day. McLaren is just lucky they have someone that can drive their cars and push the car to the max.

Um, really? I think it's pretty clear last year the McLaren had the better car, and if McLaren hadn't been stripped of their points they would have won the constructors' title by a country mile with a comparable driver line-up to Ferrari. It actually makes Kimi's title even sweeter. This year? Very very close. I do think on balance the Ferrari has the edge on speed but, so far, the McLaren has been almost perfect on reliability. It basically comes down to whether you think McLaren's position in the Constructors' standings is down to being consistently outpaced by Ferrari overall, or having Kovalainen not really doing the business. The other thing is that if the Ferrari is slightly better in the dry, it's terrible in the wet - probably slower than the Torro Rossos.

I guess you are another McLaren supporter than cannot accept reality. Ferrari's car is and was better overall in 2007 and 2008. No way McLaren was quicker no way. Even this year Ferrari are the only ones to have gotten a 1 and 2 finish and they have done so 3 times this year and it could of been more times. And when Ferrari did that they whipped the opposition. Yes McLaren were quicker in some races like Germany and China but that is about it. Ferrari could of easily have gotten a 1 and 2 in Singapore and in Malaysia as well to name a few. And even at Silverstone had it not rained that badly. You McLarenites need to get over yourselves. Even if Lewis Hamilton wins the drivers title and as you all claim "Deservingly", Ferrari no doubt deserves the constructors title as they were the best team. Simple. That is all.:thumbup::D

Honestly as tight as the points are this year (penalties not withstanding ) I don't think either car is superior, I think that's why they hold the races, so the teams can prove it on the track. Hopefully the last race won't be riddled with silly Steward's calls, and the Teams and Drivers will be able to show us who deserves to be the Constructor's Champion and the World Driving Champion.
Of course AKR, if the Ferrari's are that much more superior, it makes Hamilton's wins and championship points over the superior Ferrari's an even better accomplishment.

That came to thought when writing what I did, but I delibrately omitted it. :hehe: Infact I was going to say something like, in 2006 Ferrari almost won the title against superior Renault because of Schumacher's skills. The same would be the case this season if Lewis Hamilton takes the drivers championship for McLaren............. But I didn't want to say something good about Lewis Hamilton (Even though I just owned up to it now). I guess I am starting to use some of McLaren Fan's tactics. Just say the stuff that favours one's team. :hehe:

Wheras I hope you all note that I quite freely said "it makes Kimi's title even sweeter"

Look AKR, there has been very little between the two cars over the last two years. In 2007 the McLaren and Ferrari cars were close on balance but at individual races the gap could be quite big either way, and Ferrari started with the faster car but McLaren ended the season on top at most races. This year the two are consistently closer, and there has been less difference between different parts of the season. It's a very difficult thin to analyse because you have to judge the strength of driver line-ups, the speed on both types of dry tyre, speed in wet conditions, speed in qualifying, speed in the race, put the whole lot into a cauldron, simmer for twenty minutes and see what you're left with. Take fastest laps. Do Kimi's fastest laps mean the Ferrari's quicker, or that it's unbalanced on pace between the two tyres, or is it simply that everyone else was focussing on a finish?

But even if I don't think it's necessarily wrong to pick one car or another as the quickest, as it's very finely poised, I think saying "Hey, MY team's car is easily the quickest" is pretty pathetic.

I still don't like him though. And I hope he stuffs up. And if he wins this year, I hope he never wins again. Don't worry Tony, I am still me and will never like Lewis Hamilton or McLaren but somethimes you have to acknowledge the facts or in this case avoid them but acciddently get caught out. :hehe:

I agree with most of that. Don't agree with saying my team is the fastest is pathetic. People talk like that because even if it is slighly quicker than it is. And my comment was a reaction to McLaren Fan's as he said the same thing about McLaren which I didn't agree with. In all fairness I would say that your analysis of both cars/teams is by far the most correct. :D:yes::thumbup:

Most of the information in the document was useless to McLaren, for a) they had the fastest car, so had no need to use information from an inferior car, and b) a lot of it they could have found out for themselves under "legitimate" means of spying.

McLaren is just lucky they have someone that can drive their cars and push the car to the max.

 last year you could not say which car was better as it depended on the track, EG was the F2007 better around Monaco? 50 seconds after the McLaren pair crossed the finish line Felipe came by! lucky they werent lapped!

Well on most tracks, especially the fast ones like Barcelona and Turkey, Ferrari were better in both 2007 and 2008. McLaren was better at Monaco, I wouldn't even call that a track..............................

Ferrari won more races last year as well as this year (so far) so looks like Ferrari were fastest on most or overall.:thumbup::D
