It's always been the cool thing to do. It's frowned upon by the older generation, generally seen as 'forbidden' because purchase of alcohol is illegal for under-eighteens, and so they have the urge to do it. For those that are young adults, the latter doesn't apply, but it is seen as being the cool thing and obviously the idea of stumbling around in the street, throwing your recently-consumed kebab up all over your mates is appealing to them. To be honest, I thought it was a great idea as soon as I left school, but the first time I lost days thanks to alcohol, it made me wise up. I lost an entire weekend, which is scary. But I digress.

Well, that's just my opinion of it, of course.

Drinking is the only legal thing that anyone can now do, of course if they are of legal age , so I think that has alot to do with. Denthúl if you lost entire day's to drinking then you make the right decision to stop.
Anyway it is kinda funny that the one thing that is still legal is the one thing that lead's to the most death's each year ya know? Back when I smoked the 'herb' all I wanted to do was eat pizza and plug-in the PlayStation.

Really, i can only speak from my experiences but when i was 16/17 odd it was great fun discovering the joys of getting/being drunk with your mates, i know we definately overdid it sometimes but what the hell, you only live once.

I didn't drink much for a year or two cause i smoked a lot of weed instead, every day more or less. Nowadays it's more chilled, i just go to the pub and have a few pints or have a few cans at someone's house and go out on occassions, e.g last night we went out to celebrate my mates' 23rd. I haven't been clubbing on a saturday for ages and i forgot how crap it is! All the drinks are expensive, it takes about 10 minutes just to get served, you have to pay to get in most places and all the twats are out... lame. Pubs > Clubs

Who knows, but I'm young, and I love going out getting drunk and going to clubs

yep my mistake is buying the pizza after, the pizza isnt so good drunk
