Around the mid 80s my first racing experiences were with my dad, who'd bring me to the local track on sundays. It was mostly local GT racing and he was friends with a local champion, who raced the #68 Porsche 911... so we were sometimes able to get pit access. Great unforgettable memories! :)

My first F1 race though (on TV) was the Brazil 1988 GP; the old circuit with the awesome back straight, and i think it was the 1st race with Prost and Senna in the same team. Basically i caught up on the anticipation about the new brazilian sensation joining Prost at Mclaren. Prost won the race, as i sort of expected him to win, but people were just excited with the potential.

I have seen only 2 live GPs: Monaco in 1990 and Barcelona in 2005 (when Kimi won). Seeing Senna and F1s in Monaco was like a dream; and also all the Ferraris and Lambo's in the Motecarlo shops... i couldn't believe I was seeing so many Countach's and Testarossa's together

Also, i followed Villeneuve from Cart as I enjoyed his winning cart seasons; and it was exciting to see if he was going to able to challenge Schumacher. At that time it was not certain he would be the dominant driver... and around the early 00's i just watched the odd race, mainly to see if Mika or Montoya could do anything exciting to challenge Ferrari and Schumacher... then came Kimi and Alonso, and things began to get really interesting again.

One thing though: to this day I still think the real Mclarens are Red and White :D:wink:

I think i have a vision of some race back in like 97 of a Ferrari pit stop but thats all.

and at Silverstone 03 ( first race i had ever been to ) i was so close to meeting and getting an autograph from M Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello but as i arrived they got in a van and drove away nooooooooooooooo!!!! :(

Owh...don't know wich one it was, I do remember that guy with the yellow helmet won that race...
Seems that this incredible talented guy was Ayrton Senna, fighting Alain ' le professeur' Prost :) ... since then the F1 microbe affected me :D

Things have changed a lot since then ... :(

My first race was Monaco 1997, where schumi had a 6 second lead after 1 lap! I remember being amazed by the fact that they were on normal streets! Been hooked since then.
Monaco was also the fist race I attended, but in 2001.

I don't really know what my first race was. The reason I got into Formula One was not because of my family or friends - indeed, I'm the only one in my family who likes the sport. On Saturday morning, when I was a very young, I got up to watch all of the kids' television. After they were over, Formula One was the next thing on the television, so I must have begun to watch it and got interested in it that way. That was sometime in the early 1990s, so I was very, very fortunate to have caught the last several years of the careers of Senna ( :cloud9: ), Mansell, Prost et al.. In fact, part of the reason I support McLaren is because of Senna.

Hmm well apparently I was "awake" when I was a baby during some of the 1985 Grand Prix when my dad and uncle were watching them. And I will have probably thought my dummy was more important than the cars back then. :P
