I don't think he'll be as good as Senna ever was maybe after he's done a lot more years in F1 he just shouldn't say that in his second season when he's too inexperienced.

"Villeneuve in all of his arrogance"well he was no where near Lewis' league!! You show your lack of comprehension by comments like that.
Hang on, how about look where Villeneuve was near the end of his second season in F1, at the same stage Hamilton is now, in a pretty damn similar situation really! Villeneuve was riding high, challenging for and winning the title, and then what happened?Hamilton could go the same way, you can't deny that it is very possible surely!? I'm not flaming Hamilton here, but sometimes the hype around him reminds me of the hype around guys like Villeneuve when they first turned up. All that said, i can't wait to see what Hamilton is really made of when he's in a non-title contending car, and chances are that he'll have to deal with that at least a couple of times in his F1 career.
And when you drive your truck everyday are you having to listen to incoming messages from your team radio, watch out for competitors who may leapfrog you in the pits and make a miriard of adjustments to the controls on your steerring wheel. I think not.
To be fair, Anna, other drivers have to contend with this and have not made some of the gaffes Hamilton has.
They are all human.
They are all human.
Even KR?
They are all human.

its 50 - 50 each at fault. Lewis wanted to stay out and the team were not observant of his tyres but come on why are we winging about last year?
2008 has double the amount of bodge ups to talk about
I know every one has to contend with the same circumstances but no one is perfect they all make mistakes and they will all continue to do that. They are all human.

Villeneuve was way more experienced, he was already a champion when he came to F1. I know theres hype round Hamilton, that pisses me off too cos it causes such a backlash. Ive watched him since way before he entered F1 and I think he shows much more promise than Villeneuve. ...Could be wrong of course

It's nobody's fault but Hamilton's in my view. If Hamilton had factored in that the pitlane would be much wetter than the track and that he needed to take it really easy given this and the state of his tyres, he would have won the race and the championship at Fuji.I know every one has to contend with the same circumstances but no one is perfect they all make mistakes and they will all continue to do that. They are all human.
But Hamilton's mistakes were made under different circumstances, that's the point. Senna made mistakes, but he made them at the limit, and no driver got closer to than limit than he did. Hamilton has made mistakes that I've never seen anybody do before. Therefore, to talk about yourself in the same breath of somebody like Senna, a magician who has done things with cars that I've never seen anybody do before or since, is insane. Hamilton has a lot of ability, that was plain for all to see at Monza a month or so ago, but his attitude is going to be his downfall. He's rubbing up his fellow drivers and others the wrong way, for instance, which is doing nothing to help his reputation in the paddock.

You know, Lewis came to F1 as a champion, too. Otherwise, the FIA would not have approved his super licence

Dont get me wrong. Check out my Avatar, I think Ayrton was the greatest. I also think Lewis has the potential to be up there. Senna wasnt catapulted straight into a topline drive. He could make his mistakes out of the limelight. Neither was he fighting for the championship in his rookie year. He did however put it in the pit wall at Detroit and also in the wall at Monacco.
Mistakes will be made . All sorts of mistakes. You cant say some are good mistakes, some are worse- they're mistakes. Ayrton didnt make many granted. Lewis is only in his 2nd year on a very tight learning curve.
Did he compare himself to Senna?? Maybe. Maybe not. So what.
Guess what they said about Senna in his Lotus years " he was seen by many in the pitlane as arrogant and self absorbed"
The best are arrogant. I bet if you were back in 84 watching Senna come on the scene you'd be saying exactly the same things about him as you're saying about Lewis.
