That's not unusual. I've seen vids like this of other Acts where they let you hear the raw feed from the person's mic. It almost always sounds that bad.
Ricky Martin is the one I do remember specifically.
I'm certain you would get the same result doing this with nearly every "hired voice" act such as Britney. It's impossible to sing while jumping all over the place anyway.
The only concerts where they don't play voice tracks are the real bands that formed with no help from or were not hand picked by a marketing company like Disney, do all their own work, as in writing the music and lyrics, play the instruments, most of whom know how to read music.
