How recent was this? I don't really give a toss about celebrity gossip, but I got the impression that she was starting to get herself sorted out again. What has happened to her is a right shame. It's sad to see once fine people just fall deeper and deeper into despair.

That's not unusual. I've seen vids like this of other Acts where they let you hear the raw feed from the person's mic. It almost always sounds that bad.
Ricky Martin is the one I do remember specifically.
I'm certain you would get the same result doing this with nearly every "hired voice" act such as Britney. It's impossible to sing while jumping all over the place anyway.
The only concerts where they don't play voice tracks are the real bands that formed with no help from or were not hand picked by a marketing company like Disney, do all their own work, as in writing the music and lyrics, play the instruments, most of whom know how to read music.

Pay close attention when watching a Jonas brother "play" a guitar in concert then tell me about a performance.

My oldest is 9 and I am trying my darndest to help him learn the difference. For now it's OK to like watching the show Hannah Montana as nothing more than a TV show but remember that these types of singing acts and the marketing of them for the gravy pool of greedy corporations are a major part of what's wroong with our society.
